So instead of creating a report using a PDF file you can break up the content into multiple parts and send them to your subscribers over a certain period of time. By sending each part separately in smaller chunks your subscribers will be more likely to actually read it rather than a 20 or 30 page report.
As well as starting your own opt in list you can also use email courses to sell products which you have created or are promoting as an affiliate. Its important not to start off with a hard sale pitch straight away because your subscribers have not become familiar with you yet so the response rates will be low.
For best results you need to build interest slowly by providing informative messages that educate the reader about the topic you have chosen for your opt in list. If the information contained in your email course is high quality you will quickly build rapport with your subscribers.
Once you have decided what your email course should be about and found a product which you can promote with it you need to write at least five different messages which you can upload into your auto responder and set the interval for when each lesson should be sent (such as every three days).
Each message that you send should be relevant to the product you are trying to sell by explaining what the problem is and how it can be solved. Instead of creating multiple sales pitches you should provide useful information about the market you are targeting which directly relates to the product you are selling.
Each part of the email course should be around ten paragraphs long and you should only mention the product you are promoting at the end of the message. This should be one or two lines of text that encourage each reader to visit the website if they want more information.
Writing a high quality email course that generates sales takes some practice but once you have mastered how to do it you can set up multiple campaigns for products in different markets. After your subscribers have finished the course you can provide more information related to other products which they would be interested in.
