Ghost In the Machine

I just had a very real and strange revelation. I was surfing around on Wikipedia and I was looking at the albums that were released in 1981. I ran across the entry for one of my all-time faves, "Ghost in the Machine" by The Police, when I read this:

The cover art for Ghost in the Machine features an LED graphic that depicts the heads of the three band members each with a distinctive hair style (from left to right, Andy Summers, Sting with spiky hair, and Stewart Copeland with a bang)

Holy shit, I never noticed that before, even though I've studied this album cover thousands of times. I always just assumed it was some exotic digital display that had no meaning. Now when I look at this cover, I can't NOT see the three heads.

first i've heard of this too!

though i'd say the sting spiky-doo is obvious.

I always thought that the Predator's countdown numbers were an homage to this album cover. (You know, at the end, when he blows himself up.)
