Mark Morford provides an irreverent, yet spot-on observation of what Jesus would have on his iPod if he had one.
Posted by Tom at April 27, 2005 09:38 AMI can't really picture Jesus listening to Nine Inch Nails, but i can't really picture Jesus existing, either. The very idea of it is pretty cool, though. Good column, and very funny!
Posted by: Cory at April 27, 2005 10:32 AMCory, yes the article is funny. But whether or not you believe in God, Jesus, Buddha, or Chance, Morford's point is, that even as a myth, a certain and very vocal group of so-called Christians have twisted the story of Jesus to meet their own narrow and intolerant agenda. An agenda which the original version of Jesus was diametrically against. One of my favorite quotes from Forrest Church of All Souls Church in New York, goes like this: "Tell me a little about the God you don't believe in because chances are I don't believe in him either."
