important dope to spit into the mix and call it a worm pit. Do we need
another person presenting issues from an extreme point of view? As the
politicians leaning towards socialism and those who claim to be conservatives
lean towards liberalism and no one can live with each other over the
airwaves, America languishes in apathy that's created from prosperity. The
blur of sources of vitriol range from main-stream news sources, to
documentaries, to actors, to the web and more. Each source tries to outdo
the others in its extremity, fanaticism and outrage. Bar none, these sources
are promoting an agenda or tied to partisan money that engenders them to
bend the truth, which muddies the water.
Now, along comes wormpit.com and a proudly vulgar look at the issues of
today. When was the last time you heard headlines like "Children Die Trying
to Evolve Wings," or "Catholic Priest Pays to Watch Nun Cat Fight"? Sure, it's
entertaining to hear someone say things you wish you had the guts to say,
but where do you draw the line? Perhaps the indiscriminate skewering of all
different groups is the result of no allegiance except to God and the
founding fathers.
Wormpit.com seems to have few lines. The writer, a mystery of some secret
government service, hits the muslims as hard as the republicans as hard as
the catholics as hard as the blacks as hard as the homosexuals. It's difficult to
categorize the point of view except to say that it is entirely anti-victim and
anyone who takes that role. Four-star generals are fair game, as two of them
have played prominent roles in recent articles, and politicians and Hollywood
types are frequent guests in the cutting satire. Wormpit.com seems to take
pride in treading heavily on the pop culture and political correctness of our
day, and yet there are things to learn from the insights. "70% of black
babies are born to single mothers." "What if the Iranian President ran for
President in the U.S. as a Democrat?" and "How Hollywood is Fighting
Republican Spin and Sensationalism."
In America, there is a belief that the Democrats and Republicans are not that
much different from each other and that together they are not that much
different from our founding fathers and the original vision of our country.
Wormpit.com looks at our world today like an observer watching monkeys in
the zoo and exclaiming, "THOSE MONKEYS ARE NOT LIKE US!" Interestingly,
the differences still have to be explained, and that is what wormpit.com
does in brilliantly clear language. If you are someone that believes that
monkeys are just like you and I, then you will not appreciate hearing that
you should test that theory by letting one watch your kids. If you are
someone that believes that the laws of the U.S. should be interpreted using
international standards, then, as womrpit.com might say, "You are right.
Monkeys are no different than you."
Though the state of the culture in America is like a wormpit, the spit from
wormpit.com may be so the author can wipe the mud away from the lens
and clean it off for all to see.
